Course content: | The course is organized into two modules. The first explores the foundations of semiotics and linguistic theory, introducing the discipline's main concepts and theoretical approaches, with particular attention to the development of the notions of symbol, sign, language, tongue, and text. The second, more applied module examines hatred and hate speech from a semiotic perspective, focusing on the symbolic and communicative mechanisms underlying hostility in contemporary media and public discourse. |
