Course Title: Course content:	The first part of the course intends to illustrate the formation of the Lusophonia through historical insights to understand the mechanisms of the formation of the Portuguese language and its diffusion in Asia, Africa and Brazil. The second part intends to provide practical skills for the passive translation from European Portuguese into Italian of short stories, an activity to expand the required lexicon for level A2. The teaching is completed by 90 hours of native speakers teachers.

Learning Objectives:	The aim of the course is to provide students with the linguistic tools necessary to achieve knowledge of the Portuguese language at level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and to assimilate theoretical skills regarding the historical, linguistic and cultural panorama of Portugal and the Portuguese-speaking countries. The course also has the following specific objectives: translating authentic texts belonging to the narrative text class from European Portuguese into Italian and developing conversational strategies for level A2 with particular attention to phonetics, morphology and phonology.
