Course Title:
Course content:
The course aims to outline a theoretical framework for educational linguistics: to situate educational linguistics in the Italian and international context, in relation to European documents and the evolution of teaching theories and methods; to analyze policies for the diffusion of multilingualism. The course will also introduce principles of the language acquisition; the factors that interact with language learning; the concept of interlanguage; the role of technologies.

Teaching Methods: The course is primarily taught through classroom instruction, using materials such as whiteboards, PowerPoint slides, and short films. Interactive teaching methods are also included, accounting for 15% of the course. Students are encouraged to ask questions and reflect on the topics presented during class.
Learning Objectives: Attending the course will allow the students to develop their knowledge in the field of educational linguistics. The proposed contents can be applied in different contexts of language teaching and learning. The knowledge acquired will allow students to achieve a degree of autonomy, especially if they find themselves carrying out activities or spending the knowledge acquired in a specific teaching context. Furthermore, students will be able to improve their expository and argumentative skills by mastering technical-sectoral terminology.
